Yes its water level 1 instructor training.

After you get the instructor license you can train students maximum two at one time with own kite to up to the IKO Level 3 "Independent" level:

http://ikointl.com/iko.php?page=indepen ... nu_area=30

This is the level required by most kite rental centres to rent equipment unsupervised. You can also issue the IKO L3 cards which are sometimes required from kite rental centres.

To my knowledge there are no native english speaking IKO Water Level 1 (or higher) Instructors in Shanghai:

So I am interested in doing this course and starting to teach people here.

Another useful thing with this is that if a student wants to starts their IKO L3 course they can do so in Shanghai, get the card and take it to another school (e.g. Boracay), or if they have started their IKO L3 course at another school (e.g. Boracay), the IKO Water Level 1 instructor can finish the lessons with them and issue the card.

So it would be nice to have someone in Shanghai with this. :D

Just spoke to the IKO instructor trainer. If we can get five people together they will run the course during spring festival in 2014. Anyone interested? Would be nice time of year to check out the Boao area on Hainan!
